Database Purpose and Coverage

This database is an output of a Project Study conducted under the Civil Engineering program. The web application was developed to systematically store, manage, and present geotechnical investigation data, including mapped soil locations and evaluation rubrics. It serves as a decision-support tool by providing organized subsurface information that may be used as an initial reference for preliminary engineering assessment in Kapangan, Benguet. By digitizing and centralizing geotechnical datasets, the platform helps improve the accessibility, efficiency, and accuracy of engineering-related evaluations.

The database is intended as a tool for storing and collecting geotechnical data to supplement available soil property information. However, it is not intended to replace actual on-site soil exploration, field investigation, laboratory testing, or professional geotechnical evaluation.
